But Berner was also gaining a legion of fans as a bonafide chef. The Restaurant School of Philadelphia grad had worked in restaurants since he was 13, and eventually helmed kitchens from Las Vegas to Orlando for landmarks like Race Rock and The Chicago Brewing Company.
Now, Berner has merged his dual passions with his love of travel to create his Food Network-meets-MTV reality show called “Rockin’ Road Grill,” where he cooks, interviews, and jams with rock stars, celebs, and fellow chefs on his 40-foot tricked-out luxury tour bus of the same name. Along the way, he entertains festival crowds with his off-the-charts cuisine, his “Rockin’ Road Grill” signature Blackwoods sauces, and of course, his band.
Whether he’s grilling up for classic rockers like The Smithereens and The Romantics, doing a live concert and cooking show for a thousand Phillies Spring Training fans on Clearwater Beach with buddy Food Network Extreme Chef Terry French, or supporting great causes like the PA Breast Cancer Coalition at Philly’s Hard Rock Cafe (get tickets now for his 80’s Rock-off concert there on October 24th @ hrcphillymusic.com), “Rockin’ Road Grill’s Eddie Berner turns up the heat and volume wherever he goes.
